Another step towards electric powerThe future of vehicles in the state of Tasmania, commended the state government for funding the working group.
The state government announced it would providexa0$250,000xa0Support the establishment of a network of electric vehicle charging stations in tazhou as part of achieving the net zero emission target by 2050.
Ray Johnston, member of the Tasmanian branch of the Australian Electric Vehicle Association, welcomed the move.
"I think it's a very positive thing and I'm not quite sure where it's going," he said .".
The working group aims to consult with stakeholders on future directions.
Mr. Johnston is not sure if the Electric Vehicle Association will be involved, but the group is expected to discuss the matter.
"We 've been working our best to organize and run [electric vehicle conference]-we haven't met yet to talk about it," he said .".
Despite the welcome of the government's funding, Mr. Johnston acknowledged the increase in batteries --Car manufacturers and consumers largely determine the electric car market.
"Regardless of government policy, one of the things that came out of our meeting in Devonport is that we don't have automakers who want to promote their EV products in tazhou, he said.
"I don't think much will happen until then.
Johnston said there needs to be infrastructure to support electric vehicles, which will only be installed after people buy electric vehicles.
"There are not many motivations for buying electric cars in Australia," he said .".
"Mitsubishi in the state of Mitsubishi is one of the few car suppliers that let people serve electric vehicles.
Despite this concern, Johnston believes that the market will "take off suddenly" in tazhou within 10 years ".
"We can start buying the fleet at this time-that's when it really takes off," he said .".
Roger Jansch, secretary of the Small Business Council, said the state is good --Take advantage of the electricity market in the future.
"As part of our climate change action plan, the government will invest $250,000 to set up an electric vehicle working group and start the strategic deployment of electric vehicle charging stations," he said .".
"The state of Tasmania is perfect to benefit from the growing market for electric vehicles.
"Electric vehicles are less expensive to run than gasoline or diesel vehicles, plus an increase in renewable power supply, it is possible to reduce emissions in our transportation sector and help improve our energy security.
